Artist Profile: Ecto Peach

In an industry where selling out is often seen as the way to make it big, one band refuses to take part. From the Beatles refusing to sing for free upon arriving in America in 1964 to the current-year outrage over My Chemical Romance’s reunion ticket prices, artists shedding what made them unique for the almighty dollar is a trope that has existed for decades. One band we can say that definitively won’t sell out, however, is United Kingdom-based punk band Ecto Peach.
The members of Ecto Peach are unique in that they are not young punks rocking out stadiums or rebelling against a corny dad. They were in their forties upon founding the band and successful in their own endeavors, coming together as a band primarily for a love of music and punk culture. This has not stopped Ecto Peach from dishing out some Middle-Aged angst of their own. Released earlier this year in June, it is the namesake of their first full album.
When they aren’t recording music, Ecto Peach is part of a lively local scene in and around their native Colchester, England. You can find them on Spotify, Facebook, and Bandcamp.
