Suno's Live Music Push: What It Means for Indie Artists

New Leadership for Live Music Integration

Suno, the AI music platform, has appointed Michael Chua, formerly of Ticketmaster, as Vice President and General Manager of Suno Live Experiences. This strategic hire aims to strengthen the connection between Suno’s creative tools and live music opportunities for artists.

Songkick and Suno: A New Era for Concert Discovery

Chua's role will focus on integrating Songkick, the concert discovery platform acquired from Warner Music Group, with Suno's broader ecosystem. The goal is to enhance concert recommendations and streamline the journey from creating music to performing it live. This aligns with Suno's mission to support artists at every stage of their career, particularly through initiatives like the Spark program, which aids independent artists in developing live experiences.

Implications for Independent Artists

What this means for you

Suno's enhanced focus on live music, driven by Chua's expertise, promises to open new avenues for independent artists to connect with fans and perform live. By leveraging Songkick's platform, artists may find it easier to discover and book gigs, while also gaining better insights into their audience's preferences.

Additionally, the integration with Suno's creative tools could lead to more innovative ways for artists to engage with their fans, both online and offline. This development underscores the growing importance of live music in the digital age and the need for artists to have a seamless experience across all aspects of their career.
