Mechanical Royalties

Royalties paid to songwriters and publishers every time their composition is reproduced — whether streamed, downloaded, or pressed to vinyl. In the US, streaming mechanicals are collected by The MLC. The statutory rate for streaming mechanicals is set by the Copyright Royalty Board.
